Science Fair : June 2023
Our school Science fair (STEAM fair sponsored by the Ogden Trust) took place on Wednesday 8th June. It was a great success with many entries, which ranged from foaming volcanos to home-made water filters and from lava lamps to illuminated robots. Parents and children, who attended viewed all the projects and then the children explained and demonstrated how they worked or what they had learned; this was a great demonstration of some amazing oracy skills.
After the event, the judges (thank you to Jon Culshaw- who helped judge KS1 and lower KS2- and to Mr Butt who helped judge upper KS2) pondered for along time to decide on the winners!
KS1 winners will be announced in celebration assembly on the 16th June and KS 2 on the 23rd June.

World Book Day 1st March 2023 – Crazy, Mad Hair Day
The school was full of excitement and wonder at all the fabulous crazy hair creations that were found in each classroom! We would like to thank everyone for taking part and spending lots of time on these masterpieces this morning! As you can see we had lots of fun! We also shared stories on hair in our guided reading sessions, these are found below, we discussed why people had different hair or coverings for their hair, looking at PSHE, RE and Oracy skills. The children really enjoyed the day, each child has a World Book Day Token to spend either on a £1 book of their choice or to be put towards a more expensive book.
