Science - Testing Parachutes!
In Year 5, we have been exploring difference forces. This week, we have been looking at air resistance. We designed our own parachutes and Mr McCall put them to the test, dropping them from the roof of our school!
(No headteachers were harmed in the making of this science experiment!)
On Thursday 28th September year 5 took a trip to Simonsbath. We enjoyed learning about the key features of rivers and conducting surveys to help us to better understand the way that they behave.

DT Day - Modroc-ing all over the world! - 24th March
On Friday, we started to build our sculptures, these sculptures were based around the sculptures we had seen around the UK, including The Angel of the North and The Willow Man. We used a wooden structure, newspaper to pad out the shape and modroc to get a smooth even coat - we will continue to build and paint these over the next week.
